An incredible venue x closest fam and friends x talented performers = Everything you need to guarantee a successful video screening.
Here are pics for those who couldn’t make it to Seattle to catch Nautilus’ “Clap, Toast, Cheer” screening. It was great to see the amount of support he received from all the fam that came out, had drinks, and shared that special moment with the team.
#northnext was live that night.
Good looking out to Luck-One and Level Headed for doing that stage dirty. Also DJ Wels for always keeping the people moving. And of course, big ups to Nautilus for making such a moving record…
Dope lyrics. Winning concept. Supernatural mixing. One of Portland’s most talented and underrated emcees, Serge Severe, collaborates with DJ Wels for the this years first project to set the bar high for 2011.
Wels lays down a flawless backdrop of premo instrumentals from the legendary DJ Premier (pretty much every one of my favorite joints) and Severe strolls through each track with ease as if they were originally intended for his straightforward wit and pragmatic delivery. Northwest elite Al-One, Gen.Erik, and Sole Provider and Fluent of Level Headed make cameos on this project.
Do yourself and everyone you know a true favor and spread this mixtape like the next Swine Flu.
I’m pulling out the late pass on this one. (my bad…)
This epic show actually went down back in August @ The Refuse in Portland, OR and ofcourse featured Gen.Erik of Animal Farm along with DJ Wels and the legendary Oakland based crew Zion-I, who were on the road promoting they’re latest LP Atomic Clock.
I’m proud of Wels and Gen.Erik who most definitely held it down and represented the area as you can tell from the footage. Also big props to Def-Ro of Portland’s landmark b-boy crew Def Con 5 for doing his thing as well.
Northwest was in the bldg for real. Turntablists take note…
